Bought this for a knife I made for my son, came packed nice , it was really rough looking when I took them out the saw cuts on them were really bad and I wasn’t sure I had gotten what I had ordered but after sanding them down and polishing they look amazing! If your going to buy them remember they are not finished or even close and will have to be sanded and polish to look like the picture , I would recommend them for any handle projects they do look amazing when sanded and polished

I use these on a stainless steel knife I made and it turned out amazing.

Beautiful coloring. Like the description says you have to treat the material a little differently. Don’t! I repeat DONT try to peen over your brass pins. The material will crack and shatter. Ask me how I know. Be careful drilling and always drill on top of wood or extra acrylic material. When your almost through, slow down, don’t push hard. Let the bit turn through slowly so it doesn’t break through. Follow these rules and you should be ok.

Have been buying these scales now for 2 years... they are rough when you get them in the mail... but you have to sand, grind and polish... I polish all the way to 200000 grit... you will not be be disappointed. Make sure you drill fast speed... barely pressure and just treat it gentle... use liners to make it POP... make sure to wear mask and any other protective gear you need... love the product

We ordered 10 different sets of Texas Knife Supply’s knife scales in different colors. Our Company; Chief Warhammer’s blade and armor Outfittery based in Texas so we thought we would do business with fellow Texans. What we found throughout each of the scales was that they are all brittle/crumbly material. We have been working in the knife making industry for over 35 years and I can tell you each of the items we purchased had the same poor quality such as the picture shows with this review. We purchased these in May 2024 and have finally used all of the material we bought. We cannot sell our knives with the material we bought from Texas Knife Supply because of the poor quality of material which has resulted in over $2,000.00 of loss in both time and product. We could not set by and not alert the potential consumers of this issue.
