I bought this after searching for a bag to collect rocks. I wanted something small enough to carry around even when I didn't think I'd need it, big enough to get the job done if it turned out I did, and nice enough to not look out of place on my belt when I went out in public. This seemed to fit the bill, and after using it a few times, I am suitably impressed. First things first, it's a genuinely well-made product. The leather is soft and supple, the waxed canvas is strong and sturdy, and the stitching is immaculate. Second, it's well-designed. It folds up nice and small when not in use, and can be easily unfolded without removing it from your belt. This leaves you with a decent-sized bag hanging neatly at your side, perfectly positioned to drop things into. And when you're done collecting, you can undo the snaps and take it off without needing to unbuckle your belt, and then just cinch the bag closed with the drawstring. Third, I appreciate that this isn't your typical mass-produced, disposable product that falls apart after a few uses. They say that it's handmade, and based on the quality I believe it. It even came with a nice card stating who made it and where it comes from. Let's face it, bags are both boring and easy to come by. If all you want is something to hold your loot, any old grocery bag will do. But if you want something a little nicer, with a little more functionality, that you can clip to your belt and forget about until you need it, I'd recommend this product wholeheartedly.

Well the pouch was a bit smaller then I had hoped. It is a great addition to my foraging outfit though. Fit a decent amount of hazel nuts & such in this sac. Only issue I’ve had is probably do to my style of foraging. I tend to blaze paths off the trail through moderate to heavy under growth. This would belt pouch would be way cooler if it was a loop & not buttons. After 5 outings I’ve had to back track once to locate my pouch & once had my party companion behind me pick it up after getting dislodged by some vines. Thinking I’ll just make a second set of gear for light -moderate obstacles & toss it in that pile. Other then that the craftsmanship is splendid! Will also being using this as part of my Renaissance outfit.

I've bought several different pouches from "Hide & Drink. I love them all. This one is no exception. Made with traditional, quality materials. True to size. I use this one to carry waste away when I'm out hiking with my dog. Works great for that, and carrying a million other things that you don't want in your pockets or in your hand. I highly recommend this brand.

I came across this looking for a wallet belt for a Ren Faire cosplay when I discovered my stuff MIA a few days before I needed it. It looked like it would fit my needs & the price point was good so I splurged. Best impulse purchase in ages. I know it has all this functionality it’s meant for & it absolutely does meet all those needs. I just didn’t expect it to for the price. High quality, well made certainly worth more than I paid. (Super glad I didn’t have to pay more for it.). This will absolutely be a holiday gift for all the hikers & cosplayers in my circle this year. It’s the gift they don’t realize they need.
