On Boards: Simple & Inspiring Recipe Ideas to Share at Every Gathering: A Cookbook

Absolutely gorgeous book for anyone who loves doing charcuterie boards (or loves thinking about doing them). The photos are gorgeous, and the "recipes" are great. I say "recipes" in that most of the boards have what's on them and why (balance sweet and salty, etc), but some boards do have dip, etc. recipes. I loved that each board also has tips on substitutions (helping you figure out what might work instead of a pricey item shown etc) and what drinks pair nicely with it. There are dessert boards, snack boards, kid-friendly boards, veggie boards, and of course, full meat and cheese boards. The photos alone make this worthwhile for all of the inspiration they provide! Our friends love the book, and think we may need to get our own!

EXCELLENT BOOK

This book includes it all. Ideas on planning and making different charcuterie boards alone is worth the cost. The author includes recipes, and explains her knowledge on different cheese's and foods that can be used to make charcuterie boards. There's also a section on different tools to purchase for charcuterie boards and how to use them. The pictures throughout are big, colorful, and so helpful. This is a must have for anyone new to charcuterie boards, but also brings many new ideas for the experienced charcuterie host.

I've been looking at and buying board books. This is the 1st one that's inspired me. Many of the board books give expensive hard to find ingredients and complicated recipes. Maybe back in the days when I lived by a WHOLE PAYCHECK/ foods ( great cheese counter), lived near specialty shops, had time to burn tracking ingredients down and making condiments and money to burn- just to take a small but special plate to a gathering . Those days are over for me. That was pre child , pre a lot of other things. Some of these books feel like chefs flexing their culinary muscles to other chefs and not for real people. But this book is different. - the photos are beautiful and inspiring - most of the food can be gotten at local grocery stores. - although boards can be expensive, these boards are relatively moderately priced. Most won't break the bank - lots of recognizable foods for picky eaters -Instructions and hints to empower me to be more creative. THANK YOU to the author. Note: I have not looked though ALL board books. There may be more good ones out there that I would like. But, from my personal sampling- this is IT.

This is a very nice how to book for assembling all kinds of charcuterie boards. Lots of pictures, loaded with clever ideas and a must have for creating boards for all holidays and special occasions. Highlights ordinary ingredients that would be available in most grocery stores and puts them together in very attractive ways. Definitely a bargain, great value for price.

This is a fantastic resource! I was impressed with the overall quality, chapter variety, and length of the book. The beautiful photo illustrations are perfect for those new to creating cheese boards. The recipes are easy to follow and allow for individual creativity. Suggestions for beverages are helpful, too! I would highly recommend this book for those starting out with creating boards- and those looking for new ideas. Although you can find ideas online- having this very nice hardcover resource cannot compare! This is an “honest” review. No discounts nor products were provided by the seller/ vendor.

Used this as a present to my Realty Client with a Charcuterie Board and gift certificate from a cheese shop. Present was well received.

Timely delivery and good book.

I got this cookbook as a gift last Christmas along with a charcuterie board, and it’s fantastic. It’s full of creative ideas and really inspires you to make beautiful boards. Such a thoughtful gift and a great addition for anyone who loves entertaining!

I. Am really enjoying this book. Some of the ideas and presentations are really interesting. I love cookbooks with lots of photos and different recipes. The recipes are also very different, not the usual run of the mill types. I bought an extra as a Christmas gift. I would definitely recommend this book.
