The Guitarist’s Scale Book by Peter Vogl is a complete scale encyclopedia for guitar with over 400 scales and modes. It contains scale diagrams with notation and tablature for each scale and tips on how and when to use each scale. This scale book also contains outside jazz scales, exotic scales, Peter's own Cross-Stringing scales, and easy to understand explanations of scales and modes. This is the only guitar scale book you'll ever need. Seriously the best thought out, put together guitar scale book I’ve ever seen. Where was this 20 years ago ? Gives you the scale then explains it and then goes in a litter more and give suggestions on what chords would accompany said scale 🤯 This book is so good I ordered the Guitar 🎸 chord book too. To have all this information and knowledge in one book is amazing!!

Scale

Shows you the scales, in all keys and multiple positions.
It was pretty much what I expected it to be. It shows the scales in multiple positions, written in tab and notation and also shows the left hand fingering. That was the scope of the book so that is fine, and it will get you started. What it doesn't have is variants on scale exercises, up and down the neck. That is something you'll need to seek or work on by yourself.
