Great starter bike
We purchased this about a month ago and it’s been a great intro bike for our three year old. We purchased the 14” model and it’s a perfect fit, our boy is currently about 40” tall and he rides this on the lowest setting. He went straight from a three wheel trike with the pedals at the front to this and was pedaling on his own within minutes. We did lube everything up after assembly and feel it rides very smoothly. We did get this on sale and while I feel that the normal price is probably worth it, I’m glad I didn’t have to pay that! I do like that it doesn’t look like a little kid’s bike or have characters on it, I think that makes it more versatile and something less likely that he’d lose interest in. Overall, a solid choice for a first ride.

Very good product with an incredible value for money.
It is simple to assemble, but you will need some tools to complete it. It's a safe, simple, easy-riding and entry-level bike for toddlers, although in my opinion the front break system is not as much trustable as the rear one. It fitted my 2yo-son and I think that it will be useful for the next 3 years. I recommend this product.

Very nice bike
Very quick and easy to assemble, however, both tires were missing the caps that go on the tire valve stems. Will have to purchase some at the local Wal Mart I guess. Overall the bike appears to be of good quality. Bought for grandsons birthday on 2/5 so I hope it works out. Only time will tell.

Outstanding kids bike for the price.
This 18" bike was purchased for a 4.5 year old (46" tall) who is riding without training wheels. Despite reservations that this bike would be too big, it is the perfect size with the seat down all the way and there is plenty of room to grow. Assembly took about 20 minutes and the only tools that were needed was an Alan wrench, socket set and Phillip screwdriver. Most of this time was actually spent unpacking the bike which was wrapped heavily in cardboard and other protective material. Actual assembly time was closer to 10 minutes. The only fine tuning required was the front break and everything else went together smoothly. I liked how the handlebars are adjustable so I was able to angle them inward for the shorter arm reach. I did remove the plastic number plate off the handlebars because I didn't like the look. Otherwise this is a sharp looking and sturdy kids bike that should be good for two to three years of use. I also liked that it came with a kick stand which most other bikes tend to come without these days. This is a shout out to Amazon Warehouse Deals for a Used - Very Good item that only had a banged up box and otherwise appeared brand new for $60 less than a new bike. Most sizes and colors had numerous items on Amazon Warehouse Deals so there is a good chance you'll be able to save some money on this bike. Funny thing is this item actually came with two sets of pedals, when most items tend to be missing parts, so if you get this item and are missing pedals let me know and I've got you covered.

Best First Bike!
This Schwinn Koen is the perfect first bike for my 4 year old son! I chose the 16” wheels as he is just at the bottom of the height range so he has room to grow into the bike that it will last us a couple years. His peddling experience was between a big wheel and a classic trike, so this did take a few minutes of practice for him to get used to the resistance of peddling this bike and the factor that peddling backwards brakes the wheels. He is 39” tall - I kept the handle bars at the height they were set to and installed the seat at the lowest height. Assembly took less than an hour solo, the bike comes mostly assembled with a few pieces to be added on. My son LOVES riding his new “big kid bike” and I’m at a light jog to keep up with him! It won’t be long before we’re taking the training wheels off.

The seat starts to peel…
The seat began to peel a month after we purchased the bike for my three year old son’s birthday. Never seen a rainy day or stayed outside overnight, we always bring the bike into the house. Furthermore, the training wheels began to rust around the same time the seat began to peel. Love the bike and for the price I wouldn’t expect these occurrences.

Great bike but the shipper has never assembled a bike before
I'll start with this is a great bike. That said, the person who pre assembled this bike had no clue what they were doing. The front brake levers were literally vertical, the rear wheel end nuts so loose they would have fallen off, and the inner rear wheel nuts were so tight they pinched the rear wheel so tight it wouldnt even spin. Don't even get me started on the actual brake pad setup on both sides which most people aren't comfortable dialing in. I would have rathered they sent it disassembled honestly. It took 15 minutes to set up, and more than an hour, plus a visit to the bike shop to make it functional since they wrenched the inner rear wheel nuts so tight I couldn't even address the issue. The setup was so bad I felt like I needed to check everything just to be comfortable. So... Great bike quality and components for what it is worth, but DO NOT ride out of the box. There's some sketchy assembly line stuff going on there.

I researched a lot before buying this bike.
I bought this for my 4-year-olds birthday. I researched a lot of different bikes and when I was growing up Schwinn was always the best. It was very easy to assemble. It looks great, the paint seems very thick on it and the tires are beefy. I like the fact that he could use the handbrake is also the coaster break. The training wheels do not fall off which is nice compared to third-party stuff.

Missing parts
The bike itself is good but it came with missing part.

Schwinn is quality
The bike is well made and provides a very appealing style. Strong and durable , assembly was easy and well instructed with the manual. Best bike for your money . Will certainly buy again.

Good for beginners
Easy to build out of the box, but not so easy to tune for a good riding experience. Put it together with just 1 adjustable wrench in about half an hour. However some adjustments needed for the nuts of the handlebar and pedal cranks for a smoother experience. My 4 year old boy got riding smoothly after about half an hour of fiddling around and getting used to the arm and leg motions. Overall recommended for parents with some tool assembly and kids with some prior pedalling experience, at ~200 Singapore dollars.

No training wheels, missing pieces, useless manual
There are no training wheels (the description is completely deceptive), I can't install the reflector because its base which is attached to the bike is missing, there is no installation section in the manual. Unless the company sends the missing pieces and wheels, I will keep this score. The box in which the bike comes is very fragile and with a lot of holes. It would be a reasonable birthday gift. Please look for something else!
