COCOCKA USB 3.0 SD Card Reader USB C

An exellent SD/Micro SD card reader at a great price. The USB 3.0 and USB-C connectors make it an extremely versatile card reader with data transfer rates only limited by the read/write speed of the SD/Micro SD card itself, and it could not be easier to use. Just insert the SD/Micro SD card in the reader then plug the reader into your computer with either USB connector where it's instantly recognized, no set up required (the USB 3.0 connector will work with a standard USB 2.0 port but without the higher speed of USB 3.0). My initial transfer of approximately 45GB of data from my laptop to the Micro SD are from my phone was simple and completely error free. I did not rate it for durability as I've only had it for a couple of days. If any issues arise I'll update this review

After an SD adapter card destroyed a $1000 camera's card slot I decided to get an adapter that I can insert SD cards (the itty bitty ones) into instead of having to pull the entire adapter out of the camera. The camera was under warranty, thank God! I'd never had that happen before, and it'll never happen again. I'll keep the adapter in the camera from now on, only pulling the SD card (the itty bitty one) from the adapter and inserting that into this USB adapter/reader. This adapter reads pretty fast.I shoot lots of video in 4k and 1-2GB videos transfer to my computer hard drives very fast. I've never timed it, but no reason to do that since it's all done in a minute or three. Quick enough for me.

I needed something like this to read the SD card from my field cameras to check position and aim. Easier than walking back and forth to the house. I can make adjustments at the camera. It's also small and fits in my pocket. Worked great with my Pixel XL. UPDATE: I have a new phone and the reader does not work with the case on my phone. I would need to remove the case for it to work. It's a function of the case not the reader but maybe they could make the USB C end longer or a narrower profile at the USB-C end so it would fit with a case on the phone. I am using the Crave case.

I have been so grateful to have this little device to help me transfer footage both from my phone and my camera to my laptop. I am always running out of space on my phone and this makes it so easy to remove files that I don't really need all the time but don't want to erase. Also my computer does not have an SD card so for my video footage I needed a way to transfer it so I can edit it on the PC. This device has been perfect for me and does exactly what it says it does.

This SD card reader does everything I need to easily pull files off the cards I use for my Gopro. My PC does not have a SD reader so I use to use my old laptop to pull them off the SD card, put them on a USB drive, and then from the USB drive to my PC. Now I just stick the SD card in the reader with or without the included SD card adapter and straight to my PC. With all the Pandemic stuff happening now any kind of win is a good thing and the simple fact I don't have to use the laptop to pull the files anymore is a win in my book.

I still use this thing all the time when downloading stuff to my microsd cards and it works without a hitch. I am slightly careful with it, making sure I don't put it in or out the ports recklessly. That's because I can feel the plastic bend slightly if I give it a gripping. But it works great for me still, so I recommend it!

The one port I thought I was getting, and the same port connection that all my phones, tablets, and book readers I have, along with numerous other rechargeable items have, is a micro charging port, instead, it has in addition to the standard USB port an older style and larger port, just bigger than a Micro port. It will not help me in most every case except where I can use a USB port, automatically eliminating my other micro charging items such as phones and tablets which was wht I bought it. If you have all these type ports, and no Micro charging ports, you'll probably love this value! Just be aware of what ports it offers. Hated giving it a 3 but I don't think I'm the only one that thinks that though I may be way off base... If you do have these ports, it's would be a great value and a wonderfully simple to use product.

This does exactly what it is supposed to do, transfer photos from a camera to a computer.

It works great and is able to read all the cards that I have.
