I'd just tried, several weeks ago, the Anti-Aging Caviar-infused shampoo and conditioner, and was so shocked by the difference it had made in my hair that first use! As I continued using it, my hair became easily detangled, very soft, and it made it natural for my hair to absorb the Alterna Caviar Anti-Aging Replenishing Moisture CC Cream. In the past 8 years, I've grown my hair long, past the base of my neck, past the collar bones, and past my "girls." I am, at 68 years old, incredibly blessed with an abundance of black-brown hair with only a few gray hairs. It does take, however, about 40 minutes to blow-dry all of that hair! The CC Cream - more like a thin lotion - bumped that up to 45 - 50 minutes, even though I only used a nickel-sized amount. Then, I saw the Smoothing ANTI-FRIZZ Blowout Butter, which claimed to knock drying time off by 40%. I LOL'd - a THICK BUTTER was going to do that?!?! HA!! I bought it because the CC Cream didn't deliver on a lot of its promises. Following Alterna shampoo and conditioner, I towel-dried my hair, then applied the Blowout Butter throughout my hair, then began to blow-dry it. I dried it, thoroughly dried it, in 25 minutes! My hair was so soft, full without the frizzies, very sleek but with volume. These Alterna hair products are not inexpensive. I live on SSDI, now converted to SSA retirement money due to my age. The good news is that each bottle of the shampoo and conditioner lasts 3 - 4 months. It doesn't take much at all (a nickel-to-quarter-size amount to clean and detangle my hair) to achieve the desired results. This butter has checked off every box of my requirements for a great hair product! Use the shampoo and conditioner first, then add the styling product that you need with confidence. If a 68-year-old woman with an abundance of very dark, fine hair that is now naturally dry and prone to breakage tells younger women that a hair product line used together gets terrific results, believe her!! One major benefit I forgot to mention is shine. My hair got its natural shine back to where it was 35 years ago, believe me! I don't have to add products to give me an artificial shine. There is, so far, good evidence that old product buildup is removed with each shampoo! These are not products that build up on hair, requiring you to buy a clarifying shampoo. It's not necessary. The line of products are labeled as anti-aging, which generally means that this Alterna Anti-Aging line is for mature women's hair. I see no reason why a woman in her mid-to-late 30s or 40s can't use the benefits one gets by these products. s so I must watch what I spend. Fortunately, the shampoo and conditioner are less expensive on Amazon than anywhere else

I put this on my hair after I have washed it, and it's damp. This product is excellent for my aged frizzy hair, after my hair drys, it looks styled, and youthful. Love this product and will buy again and again.

I have been using this on my hair on and off for 3 yrs. Tried other products, spent loads of $$. However I keep coming back to this line. I wear a medium length bob , my hair is very thick, in the frizzier side of wavy. I use less than a pea size amount, rub my hands together and apply it to the ends of my hair 1-2” and down to the ends. Blow dry and hot iron. It’s smooth as silk and the style lasts for two days, until the next shampoo. No more switching, this product hands down does the trick!

Does an amazing job of keeping my thick, wavy hair frizz-free when I blow dry it straight in humid weather. I like that it isn't overloaded with fragrance (like Oribe). I've tried so many products through the years: Kerastase Nectar Thermique, Oribe Supershine Cream, Garnier Sleek and Shine serum, Kerastase Oleo Relax, several of the Giovanni serums and glosses. This trumps them all!!!! I decided to buy this after seeing all of the positive reviews from people who live in humid climates. NYC summers are super humid as well. If you struggle to find a blow dry product that keeps your hair from frizzing up, you need this. I would say to use a good amount though. At first I only used a dime size amount because I read the reviews about how potent it is. I probably use 2 quarter size amounts total, one on each side of my head. It may feel like you have a bit too much product on at first, but your hair absorbs it (if you have thick hair like me). Highly recommend finishing with Alterna's Anti Frizz oil from the same line (same lilac packaging). Smells amazing and gives a nice gloss. Best of all: I have no itchy scalp or irritation from this product. It doesn't make my hair or scalp feel overly dirty. And I don't need touch ups!

I received this from my mom who found it in a discount bin somewhere and it turned out to be the best hair product I've found in the last half decade. I've since committed to seeking it out on Amazon and purchasing it full price for myself:) I have loose, shoulder-length curls that gravitate toward frizziness. I dispense about a large-pill sized amount on my hands and run my finger through my wet hair and "poof" fluff it in... as it's drying I continue to scrunch it every 5-10 mins until the curls are set. They look defined without appearing wet. I get some really nice corkscrews in the front as well.

I had been using the Alterna Bamboo Brilliance Cream (green tube) for years but they stopped making it and this was the closest to it I could find. I would say it’s a similar leave in product to make hair soft and shiny but perhaps slightly shortens the time before the next hair wash is required! Smells nice!
