The newest baby and toddler cookbook from America's Test Kitchen Kids, creators of the #1 New York Times Bestseller, The Complete Cookbook for Young Chefs ! Being a new parent usually means an overload of information on how to keep your baby healthy and happy. But what information should we trust as parents? America's Test Kitchen, with their years of expertise and their tried-and-true testing methods, has opened their test kitchens for the first time ever to include the youngest of foodies: babies and toddlers! This baby food book is the perfect choice for parents looking to dive into the world of baby food recipes and cooking toddler food! From purees to smoothies to family meals that everyone can enjoy, this cookbook includes the very best (kitchen-tested!) recipes to get you through the early years. Whether you're looking for ways to introduce your child to solid foods or engage kids in the kitchen, this is the essential cookbook young families need. Review: Delicious and easy recipes but use discretion about age/safety - I’m reviewing this as a cookbook, as it’s not a guide to baby led weaning. That said, I found some of the recipes to be inappropriate (like hard corn tortilla taco shells) for the recommended age, our pediatrician told us to avoid corn chips for a few years. Some recipes we’ve needed to portion differently/cut smaller, like the tofu sticks, fritatas and muffins. So use your own judgement about what your babies can handle. Generally I’d say the book is good, but not perfect about this. With that out of the way, the recipes are fantastic. I’ve made dozens of them, from 6mo-1yr and only 1 has been a hard miss (beef puree haha). Sometimes the recipes are so good, I end up making versions for the parents as well. Freezing leftovers in ice-trays has been a game-changer. It’s reassuring to have lots of options available and has been saving us money. Highly recommend! Review: Useful Cookbook - Most of my cookbooks sit in the cabinet and collect dust, but I’ve actually used this one quite a bit. It’s great, I love that every recipe has a picture. I also love the family meals section- only wish it were bigger. We have made quite a few of those and they all turned out great. I didn’t get much use out of the purée section (you don’t really need a recipe for one ingredient purées and my son wasn’t a fan of their combo ones), but I think it was worth it for finger foods and the family meals. I could see us using this cookbook more in the future.

Absolutely love this book
My grandson is 14 months old with 8 teeth. I was looking for recipes that would be easy and nutritious. I love this book!! The recipes are easy to do and incorporate ingredients I wouldn’t have thought of to use. One recipe is red lentils ,carrots and unsweetened coconut milk. It takes about 30 minutes to make. My grandson loves it. Another is ground beef , Parsnips and couscous . Or beets apples and quinoa . All the recipes have a message about why the recipe works, And all of them have each age group the recipes are good for and how to modify them. There are recipes for families too. Great, colorful pictures. This book was well worth the money!!

Great for Beginners who want to cook for their toddlers
This is a great cookbook for beginners who want to cook meals for their toddlers as well as the whole family. I recommend purchasing it before you even begin with purées as there are lots of great puree recipes. I wish there were more “family dinner” meals. I’ve had the book for 2 weeks and have already cooked almost all the meals for my family. Best part in my opinion is that there’s a photo for every recipe.

Very helpful book
I love this because peace of mind in regards to what I'm feeding my kid. And making food for them is so much cheaper than buying it pre-made at the store. I definitely needed this to learn how to prepare meats for a baby.

My favorite cookbook
I make recipes from this cookbook all the time. Not only did I like the purees for when my baby was small, but the family meals are just phenomenal now that he's a toddler. We also made the Smash Cake recipe from this book for his first birthday. My favorite thing about this book is that they clearly test all of the recipes to perfection, hence the name--I feel like every recipe has very specific directions. The flavors are balanced and great. I love cooking and that precision means a lot to me. I love this cookbook so much I think I'll end up getting another America's Test Kitchen cookbook at some point.

Toddler Cookbook
We sent this book to our daughter and Son-in-law as a gift. I'm sorry I don't know mush about it but they seemed happy with it. It was delivered quickly and in good condition.

Great recipes
Loved making some of the recipes in here. As a first time mom and not the most creative, it was nice to have recipes made out without having to think of things to make

90% good
I really like this book because i am not much of a cook and I can still make all of my baby’s food because the book breaks down instructions very precisely. Ie tells you exactly how to steam veggies with what pot, with or without a lid, and for how long. It’s basic but if you don’t normally steam zucchini’s for example, the details are helpful. All of the recipes have turned out as pictured (no waste) and my baby eats it all. The only thing missing is there are no instructions on how to introduce allergen-type foods (peanut butter, dairy etc). For that reason it is not “complete”.
