This is a wonderful small utility tool to set a 90 and a 45° angle, to duplicate set marks for less than 4 1/2” from an edge with accuracy because the numbers and score marks on this too are legible.

I've been tackling home improvement projects for decades, and the Kreg Multi-Mark has quickly become one of my go-to tools. Whether I'm marking precise angles, transferring measurements, or just using it as a simple ruler, this tool does it all. It’s lightweight but feels sturdy, and the adjustable arm is a game changer when you’re working with irregular shapes. I’ve taken this tool on the road with me during my travels across the US, and it’s saved me more than once when working on impromptu repairs or quick carpentry jobs. It’s compact enough to fit in my tool belt but versatile enough to handle most measuring tasks. This has been a handy tool across many trades while I've been building a large addition my house. It has mainly served as a depth gauge and quick level. As far as being a square? Use a square if you need a square, and after I read the reviews complaining about this tool not being square, I chalked that up to inexperience on the part of the users. Here is a quick list of great things it did for me and others on the job site: - Laying a line to rip-trim a board or siding. The old tape and pencil trick worked fine for years, but the Handi-mark and pencil trick is the way to go. Even in gloves, you'll get a straight and accurate line for the entire length of the material. - Transfer a measurement. Take the tool to a gap. extend the rule across the gap. Secure it. Take the adjusted tool to your material. Use the tool to make a mark. Cut. Fit the cut piece to the gap. That is. Perfectly fit the cut piece to the gap. Leave you tape hanging on your tool belt the whole time. -Hardware guesser. Pick the perfect size screw or nail for even the most oddly shaped structure. It even helps if you need to add shims and spacers before securing the hardware. -Quick square. The square and the 45 angle setting are close enough for the average work day. If some of the posters were building fine furniture or space shuttles, they should have gotten precision tools. -Helper's helper. Stay where you are. Send you help to set this tool to a measurement you need. Take the now set tool and make an accurate cut without wondering if they read the tape correctly. So easy, an 8 year old can do it. All in all, this little tool will save a lot of time while doing the tedious little tasks associated with building and assembly. For simple furniture and indoor woodworking, it will do an acceptable job. On construction sites, it will save time. I bought it with the understanding that it wasn't a precision instrument and with that in mind, it exceeded my expectations. This tool is in my pouch now. 24/7 The possibilities are as many as the things we've had to do with tape measures over the years.

A year ago I invested in a variety of Kreg tools as I was building a custom set of closet organizers, including 25 drawers, 5 panel drawer and cabinet faces, clothes hampers etc. A lot of precision cutting. While I had good Kreg products for fastening the various competent together, I did not invest in major upgrades to my 25 year old table saw, and mitre saw. I got by, in large part due to being able to take very precise measurements with this tool, and in turn, using this tool to make very precise setups of all cuts on the old equipment. I love this tool. It allows me to create a measurement, and then transfer that measurement from material to equipment, or site to shop. It has provided a degree of precision that I had found difficult to achieve repeatedly. The old axiom of measure twice, cut once, can be set aside for at least those instances where this device can be put in play. The best testament to this device for me is that now that the big project is over, I find that this tool is the one I find myself using most often of all of the other Kreg products that were acquired for the project. Handy, versatile and simple. What could be better.

Love it. It’s great for small projects

I love this thing. It helps me find out how deep something is - like a board - without having to rely on leaning over with my straight ruler. You can lock it in place so you can use it on many items or in different places to compare thickness/depth.

I was eager to get one of these because I love Kreg told. They are a great company that stands behind its products. This device, which I always carry in the shop, just has a couple of drawbacks that keep it from getting five stars from me. First: it's a great device as long as the work piece is less than 4 1/2 inches wide because that is the length of the sliding scale. Yes; you can count the body of the device as six inches and measure from that point, but then there's that Second thing. The big round brass locking nut attaches to the wrong side, so you cannot read the scale unless you turn the whole thing over. If you turn it over, you cannot place the device flat against the work piece because that brass nut is in the way. So even though this handy, well built, and accurate device fits easily inside your pocket; you're going to wind up reaching for a different square tool to use instead of this one. It is so close to being perfect...just not there yet.

Desde que lo compre no ha dejado mi bolsa de herramientas, en mi caso es una de las mejores soluciones para medir alturas ya que no hay para mi caso en particular otra herramienta que lo haga tan bien. El plástico y los acabados son de muy buena calidad, para usarlo como escuadra hay que asegurarse al apretar el tornillo que esté la regla bien recargada hacia un lado ya que tiene un ligero juego.

This is a great addition to my tool kit. It is light enough to keep in a pocket, it go's from a square to a mitre square in a matter of seconds,the quality stainless rule is easy to read and makes a great depth gauge. It even has a spirit level. Wow,I love it.
